The CAPT’s €700,000 ($787,530) European Poker Championship will run from July 13 to 24 at the picturesque Casino Velden in Austria and players can bag their main event seat from Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker for as little as $2.20.

The Horizon Poker Network sites revealed that their latest online poker tournament series, which will take place from April 27 to May 8, is due to award five players with their $3,037 European Poker Championship main event buy-in along with $500 for travel expenses and five nights accommodation in the ‘Monte Carlo of the Alps’.

“Velden is quite a posh resort; the casino is beside a lake and there are lots of sports and outdoor activities like golf and hiking [while] it’s also known for its nightlife,” read a statement from Intertops Poker.

Step-one satellites featuring a buy-in of $2.20 will be running four times a day at Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker from April 27 to May 7 with each awarding tickets into $11 buy-in second-step competitions. These step-two events will also take place four times daily until May 7 while the $110 buy-in final offering its five prize packages is scheduled to happen on May 8 from 2pm New York time.

“The winners will be joined in Austria by the winner of a CAPT Velden online satellite series held last month, Hungarian Gabor Kresco,” read the statement from Intertops Poker.

“Players can buy in at any stage of the three-tier European Poker Championship satellite tournament series or possibly win their way to Austria for just the initial $2.20 step-one buy-in. They can register for the daily tournaments by clicking the tournaments tab in the poker room lobby at either Intertops Poker or Juicy Stakes Poker.”
