Green Joker Poker has announced the European Deepstack Poker Championships to be held at the Drogheda Poker Club in County Louth, Ireland. The event has been scheduled for Saturday 2nd February to Sunday 10th February 2008.
Since the first Green Joker Poker Festival was won by Lloyd O'Farrell in November 2006, the structure has been used by many other tournament organisers. Jen Mason from Blondepoker won the event back in May this year, and now Green Joker Poker have decided it is time to raise the level again regarding value and playability of poker tournaments. The European Deepstack Championships aim to have the best structure of any tournament found on the European circuit, with 50,000 starting chips, an hour clock, and with practically every conceivable blind level, all for a buy in of €1400+€100. The winner of the tournament will have to negotiate four days of poker playing their A-game if they are to earn the title of European Deepstack Poker Champion.
The festival will also see a varied schedule of support tournaments. There's a short handed No Limit Hold'em tournament with 20,000 starting chips and a one hour clock, as well as a deep stack Omaha event - also to be run on a one hour clock with T20,000.
Full details of the event can be found at http://www.greenjokerpoker.com/edpc2008.html
