EuroVegas Plans Unveiled

Thursday, 1 August 2013

Plans for Sheldon Adelson's EuroVegas project have recently been filed with Madrid's regional government.

The ambitious development will feature 12 separate mega resorts that house a host of shops, theatres and casinos at an estimated cost of $7.9 billion.

Beyond the leisure facilities, EuroVegas will offer 12 hotels with provisions for 36,000 guests as well as 40,000 car parking spaces.

At present the future of the project is still in doubt as the Spanish government and Adelson are yet to agree on various points, including the latter’s request for a local smoking laws to be relaxed.

If the two parties can come to an agreement an Adelson is allowed to have smoking inside his complex then it's expected the local economy will benefit from an additional 250,000 jobs.

Following the submission of the plans, Spain’s La Razon published an artist’s impression of how the three-stage development will look. Further pictures were later collated by Poker-Red and show a number of features, including The M which will serve as an iconic centrepiece to the entire project.
