Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some but it certainly won't be for the player who claims the first title of the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris which starts today.
The Aviation Club in Paris is the venue for this year's Euro Finals of Poker festival which kicks off with a Ladies Event with nine further European Champions set to be crowned over the following seventeen days. The main draws are likely to be the four-day, €5,000 buy-in Diamond Championship event which starts on Thursday 26th January and the €10,000 High Roller which follows on 28th and 29th January. Also on the line up are a selection of NLHE, PLO and H.O.R.S.E championships with buy-ins starting from €100. A whole raft of satellites are scheduled, starting from just €50.Russian Natalia Nikitina pocketed €243,830 after outlasting a 188-runner field to take down last year's event.This year's series will also feature the European Poker Awards on 25th January.The full tournament schedule can be found by clicking here.
