Eskimo Clark’s 1999 Razz bracelet sells for $4,050 on eBay

Eskimo Clark’s 1999 Razz bracelet sells for $4,050 on eBay

Friday, 3 December 2010

The hubbub around Peter Eastgate’s six-figure auction for the charity UNICEF, fetching $147,500 for his 2008 Main Event winner’s bracelet, has taken the lustre off the Eskimo Clark Razz bracelet bid which closed on Wednesday with a winner paying $4,050 for the jewellery.

Most speculate that Clark had sold this bracelet already. He won it in 1999 after beating the field in a $1,500 Razz event but this eBay seller came out of Ireland leading to rumours that it had already left Clark’s possession. Perhaps this new seller was inspired by Eastgate’s success in selling his own piece of poker memorabilia?

Despite the lack of value compared to Eastgate’s price the bracelet itself is 117.1g of eighteen-carat gold and is not to be sniffed at. By the gold content alone the bracelet would be worth about five thousand POUNDS, let alone dollars.

Charity or not, Main Event or Razz; it looks like the winner of this auction has scored themselves a pretty sweet deal on some gold. Now sell it to Dale Winton or David Dickinson?
