The field for the $10,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha event at the Aussie Millions may have been small at only 26-runners but it was one packed full of quality and in the end it was a big name who emerged victorious.

Erik Seidel now has an Aussie Millions crown to add to his eight WSOP bracelets and WPT title. The 40-year-old American, who made a cameo appearance in classic comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm earlier this year, defeated a top draw field that included Chris Ferguson, Jeff Lisandro, Tony Bloom and Ross Boatman before seeing off Florian Langmann and Mike Watson on the final day to set up a heads up clash with Mick Guttmann.

The chips eventually went in with Seidel holding 10c8s7d5d and Guttmann tabling AhQs9s3h on a 7h6h3c9d8d board. Seidel’s straight took the honours and with it a first prize of $120,000 taking his career earnings tantalisingly close to the $10m mark.
