We know that Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Sam Trickett and Erik “The Seiborg” Seidel have been having an awesome 2011 but Erick Lindgren is another to add to the list. Kicking off the year with a cash in the Aussie Millions Main Event he just two weeks ago came second to The Seiborg himself in the WPT Super High Roller for $700,000.

That doesn’t quite put him up with the millions made by the aforementioned trifecta of running good but he did marry the beautiful Erica Schoenberg yesterday, using up pretty much all the run good one man can ask for – bit of a rubdown for David Benyamine, there. Unintentional.


The ceremony was attended by some of poker’s superstars including Phil Hellmuth and Lindgren’s long-time friend Daniel Negreanu. The two had better get back from their honeymoon soon because the $25,000 NL Heads-Up event beginning tonight looks like it’s right up Erick’s street.


So congratulations to Mr and Mrs Lindgren, who should be proud of us for not making a slightly dated Royal Wedding joke in this entire article.
