The WPT bandwagon never seems to stop rolling and as one festival ends another has already gotten under way in the tropical surroundings of St. Maarten.

After presenting Jared Jaffee with his winner's trophy in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday, the focus of the WPT's organisers shifted towards the Caribbean as the first day of their next $3,500 tournament took place.

Split into two opening days, WPT Caribbean saw Marvin Rettenmaier top the chip chart on Day 1A after raking in 104,400 chips. The German pro was amongst the 75 runners who started the session and after a dominant performance he managed to outpace his rivals and finish atop of the 45 survivors.

With the likes of Marvin, Marko Neumann, Julian Thomas and Sean Jazayeri all making it through, Day 1B got underway and by the time the registrations books had closed it was femme fatale Ebony Kenney leading the way.
After carving her way through the 116 starters, Kenney was able to stand tall and overshadow such notables as Tony Dunst (43,000), Fabian Quoss (32,800) and Tobias Reinkemeier (25,800) with a stack worth 174,000 chips.

Overall the tournament welcomed 191 players and after two days of gritty action 107 will now return later today for Day 2 and their shot at a prizepool worth over $600,000.
