Artur Wasek eliminated in 4th place (£240,000)

Monday, 4 October 2010

Polish player Artur Wasek, who has another EPT final table under his belt, has been eliminated from the EPT London Main Event in fourth place after his 5-5 lost out to John Juanda's A-J.

The K-8-4 flop looked great for Wasek to double up as did the blank turn but a rivered jack gave Juanda the better hand and sent Wasek's 1.35m over to the Full Tilt Pro's stack. Juanda still holds a chip lead but it is by no means unassailable.

Wasek got some criticism in the media area for some folds - AJ to a c-bet on KJx; AQ pre-flop to an open shove - but in doing so he has folded his way to a £240,000 payday and probably gained six figures. Fair play.

Three-handed the chip counts are as follows:

1. John Juanda - 10,950,000

2. David Vamplew - 9,055,000

3. Kyle Bowker - 4,815,000

4. Artur Wasek - BUSTED (£240,000)

5. Kayvan Payman - BUSTED (£190,000)

6. Fernando Bito - BUSTED (£145,000)

7. Tom Marchese - BUSTED (£100,000)

8. Per Ummer - BUSTED (£66,800)

Blinds are 60,000/120,000
