There will be a new venue for the German leg of the European Poker Tour this season. Organisers have announced that after three successful years in Dortmund, the event will be moving to Berlin.

The tournament will be held in a purpose built glass building on Marlene-Dietrich-Platz in central Berlin from 2nd to 7th March 2010. Capacity for the €5,300 buy-in Main Event is 1,000 and players will be competing for a first prize guaranteed at €1m.

Last year’s German EPT event was won by home favourite Sandra Naujoks who collected €917,000 for the win.

Berlin will become the third new venue for season 6 of the EPT following earlier stops in Kiev, Ukraine and Vilamoura, Portugal.
