The penultimate leg of the 2009/10 European Poker Tour takes place this week with the €5,000+€300 main event starting today.

The 20-year-old student outlasted a field of 1,178 players, the largest ever assembled on European soil, to take home a whopping first prize of €1,508,000.San Remo will also be one of the few remaining opportunities to alter the Player of the Year race, which is hotting up nicely. EPT Kiev winner Max Lykov is currently in pole position, followed by Kevin MacPhee and Martin Kabrhel.
