EPT Campione begins today

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Campione event begins today with a €5,300 buy-in main event sure to attract a decent field, given the popularity of poker in Italy. This marks the first time that the EPT has stopped in Campione.

Italy itself is no stranger to EPT events, however, given that the San Remo EPT stop has been a staple of the tour for years and has seen champions such as Jason Mercier and Liv Boeree, as well as setting several EPT records along the way.

Boeree will be playing this event alongside fellow PokerStars pros Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and perennial EPT casher Luca Pagano. Also joining them will be Italian pro Dario Minieri.
