EPT Berlin begins today

Monday, 16 April 2012

The PokerStars EPT has arrived in Germany to kick off EPT Berlin, which last year saw Ben Wilinofsky triumph over a field of 773. This year, we expect a larger field with Berlin’s Grand Hyatt able to accommodate up to 1,300 players.

Many big names from Team PokerStars are attending, including Barry Greenstein who arrived yesterday and began tweeting in German. Joining him are Jason Mercier, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Jonathan Duhamel and Liv Boeree as well as local boy and reigning WSOP champion Pius Heinz.

Last year the first prize at EPT Berlin was €825,000. Will we see that topped this year?
