With a schedule of ten days, the European Championship of Online Poker is well underway at Titan. The proceedings got underway on Friday, with the first three events already having been settled at the time of writing.
Kicking off the schedule was Event 1, a $200+$15 No Limit Hold’em event, with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. This enticed 1,049 to take a seat at the table, and the prize pool was eventually announced as $209,800. Majstorex ended up taking first, winning $44,058.
The second event saw a switch of game, this time being an Omaha Hi-Lo game. The $100+9 buy in attracted 540 runners, and with a guaranteed prizepool of $100,000 there was a massive overlay. BSinclair took advantage the best, netting $23,000 for his first place finish.
No Limit Hold’em was back on Sunday when Event 3 rolled up. The 1,491 players who paid $250+$18 a man were aiming for a first place prize of $78,227, with the overall prize pool getting up to $372,750. The winner was Addict1968, who will presumably be able to have a great fortieth birthday next year with the bumper payday.
The ECOOP is still rolling on at Titan, so be sure to stay tuned for the latest news as it happens.
