Duthie departs from PokerStars

Tuesday, 3 January 2012

The shake up at Team PokerStars Pro continues with the news that John Duthie will not be renewing his contract with the world's leading poker site. The former TV producer confirmed in a post on Two Plus Two that his contract expired on 31st December and that he didn't want to renew it.

The former Casualty and Heartbeat producer was instrumental in creating the European Poker Tour in 2004 and is no slouch at the tables either. Duthie has career earnings of $2.7m including a runner up finish in the $10k heads up event at the 2009 WSOP.

Former Main Event winner Joe Hachem and Britsh bracelet winner JP Kelly both left PokerStars when their contracts expired late last year.
