Dusty Schmidt to join Isildur1 at PartyPoker's Big Game IV

Having a good nickname isn't the only criteria for entering PartyPoker's Big Game IV this month but it certainly seems to help. Dusty 'Leatherass' Schmidt will joining the likes of the Unabomber and Isildur1 for the high stakes cash game later this month.

Leatherass, a coach at training site DragTheBar.com and a new member of the PokerStars Pro team, has accepted an invitation to join the Big Game IV at Les Ambassadeurs in Mayfair later this month.


Schmidt is known as an online grinder and isn't usually found in live, high stakes games but the prospect of facing Isildur1 was an opportunity not to be missed. “I was obviously excited to go on the show no matter who was going to play. This is the first live event I’ve done since the World Series of Poker Main event in 2008. To play live against Isildur1 is pretty exciting, to say the least.” said Schmidt.


“My intention is to grind out the whole 48 hours,” said Schmidt, who is bringing DragTheBar.com mental coach Jared Tendler along for on the trip. “I’m having Jared come because it’s live play, there are cameras there, and I could be playing a pot for huge figures. I need to be sure I’m on my ‘A’ game.”
