It took over a year to come to fruition, but the Dusk Till Dawn poker club is now officially open. Business began at the Nottingham-based card room this Thursday, kicking off with a series of tournaments to celebrate the event. Two of the events, both £100 No Limit Hold’em tournaments, are already full to their 108 capacity.
Rob Yong, Marketing Director for Dusk Till Dawn, said, 'It's been a long struggle but it's been worth it. The club is looking great and I know the poker community is going to love it.'
Poker pro Simon Trumper, who has been appointed the Live Poker Director for the club, has said they are pleased with the predicted numbers for this weekend. “I never had any doubts that we would sell all our seats for the opening weekend. We can't rest on our laurels, though, as the real challenge is to make Dusk Till Dawn the best club in Europe and keep players coming through our door over the years to follow.”
Now that the club is open, it has become the largest poker room in Europe, with 45 tables in operation. Current open hours are 6pm to 4am GMT, Thursdays to Sundays. If things go well for the club, expanded opening hours to other days of the week are a distinct possibility.
