Dubline EPT Day 2

Today would prove to be the day which would tell the story and paint the picture of this year’s event. The elimination of the majority of the field occurred and day 2 will be rembered for the alsos-rans, bad-beats and nearly men.
There were plenty of them too, all with their story to tell.
I caught up with local lad Rob Taylor who was eliminated in an agonising 51st place, just a couple of places away from the prize-money. Rob, who had been so succesful in Vegas this year in the World Series, was one of the few who could admit defeat and take it like a man. Altough very disappointed, he still cracked a smile and said, “...there was nothing I could do about it. It’s just bad luck realy”. He was already looking ahead to his upcoming trip to Singapore. “It should be good fun, a lot of the Irish lads are heading out which is nice.”
The chip leader going into today would end up finishing the day as chip leader too, following an impressive display by William Thorsson. Ronald de Wolfe also had a good day and will resume tomorrow in second place and must have a big chance of outright glory. He has the talent and he has some chips to play with. All will be revealed tomorrow.
