Germany's DrUpswing certainly lived up to screen name overnight after taking down the PokerStars Sunday Million 8th Anniversary tournament for a $1,038,540.31 pay day.
PokerStars certainly knows how to celebrate its major milestones and this wekend was no exception with the $8m guaranteed prize pool attracting 46,586 grinders, hopefuls and wannabes to the online tables.After 15 hours of play it was DrUPSWING who took the lion's share of the guarantee busting $9.3 million prize pool. The German went into heads up play with compatriot hdjgkfkgsdl with a big chip lead but a couple of timely double up soon leveled the stacks.The pair agreed a chop that would see both take home $877,090.19 with $160k left on top. It didn't take long for DrUPSWING to add the extra 160 grand to his roll, flopping trip deuces with Jd-2d. He had a sweat against hdjgkfkgsdl's flush draw but the rest of the board bricked out to give DrUPSWING the title and the honour of being the winner of the biggest ever Sunday Million.Roll on the next one!
