Though full terms of the sale were not disclosed, it has been confirmed that the assets of Gibraltar-based poker software firm Dobrosoft, which was one of the first companies to launch multi-player poker gaming, have been acquired by Digital Gaming Network, (DGN).
DGN says it plans to elevate the company's profile and profits in the online gaming space.
'The company looks forward to having the additional resources and expertise that DGN can bring to the table to help the company grow in ways that can fulfil its long-term potential,' said Dobrosoft's transitioning founder and CEO, Vinko Dobrosevic. 'The new company will have the talent and experience to launch a new era for itself and its employees. Industry insiders will be taking notice very soon.'
'Dobrosoft's core software platform and untapped market potential is a cornerstone of our efforts in creating a leading alternative to existing multi-player software networks' added Nicole Sims, spokesperson for DGN. 'We have already invested heavily in operational infrastructure and upgrades to the products scalability. We will be working diligently to continue to build on this base and to take the product to a whole new level.'
The announcement is apparently the first of many to come for DGN as new clients embrace the platform and announce their involvement as network partners.
