Devilfish to write autobiography

Monday, 20 July 2009

Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott has signed a deal with Penguin Books to write one of the most eagerly awaited poker books of 2010. British poker’s most recognisable face will be penning an autobiography recounting how he went from cracking safes in Hull to becoming one of the world’s top poker players.

Editor Joel Rickett said "Every poker player knows Devilfish is the real deal, but even those who've never played will love reading about his rollercoaster life. The book will be packed with jaw-dropping stories of playing the Triads, carrying guns to games, and walking through customs with $742,000 stuffed in carrier bags. Just as thrilling are the inside views of big games – including when he went $1m down and clawed it all back.”

The book, which is due to be published in summer 2010, will be co-written by Marcus Georgio who wrote gangster Dave Courtney’s series of memoirs.
