Day Four of the World Poker Finals Wrapped up

We started with 51, and ended up with 19 at Foxwoods. Right at the top of the pack are two names which we’ve all heard of before though – Freddy Deeb and TJ Cloutier. Day Five should make for some interesting viewing.

We started with 51, and ended up with 19 at Foxwoods. Right at the top of the pack are two names which we’ve all heard of before though – Freddy Deeb and TJ Cloutier. Day Five should make for some interesting viewing.
Play on Day Four started hand for hand, as the players were on the money bubble, and it was Mike Meskin who went home with nothing, unlucky to run his pocket Jacks into Queens. From there everyone was $13,150 richer, and an interesting Table #1 was formed, with Cloutier, Deeb and Michael Binger present. Binger was eliminated, onto to be replaced by defending champion Nemad Medic.
After overnight chip leader Matt Graham had imploded and knocked himself out in 21st place, Deeb rose to the top after a mammoth pot. Deeb limped under the gun, as did another player. Mark Vela raised from the button to 50,000 and both Deen and the other limper called. The flop came 5h 4d 3c, and it was checked back to Vela on the button, who bet 200,000. Deeb quickly reraised to 500,000 and was called only by Vela. The turn came the Tc, and Deeb moved in for 756,000. Vela dwelled and after Deeb asked if he could beat pocket sixes, Vela folded showing As 5c.
This left Deeb as the overnight chip leader on 1,865,000. Cloutier follows in second with 1,614,000 with 2005 champion Nick Schulman still in the hunt on 1,100,000.
