Day 1c of PokerStars APPT Macau under wraps

Thursday, 20 May 2010

Three out of three – all the starting days of the Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau are done and dusted meaning that we have a total field of 342 runners making a nice first-place payout of over $3.2 HKD to the winner.

Day 1c was undoubtedly the largest of the three opening flights with almost half the field registering on that day – 170 players took to the felt yesterday, with Briton Darren Judges storming ahead of the Day 1a and Day 1b chip leaders to bag up over 170,000 by the end of the day. Fellow Brits Dinh Le and Keith Hawkins are both challenging at the head of the leader board too.

Today around 130 players are returning for Day 2 and will be playing down to the money spot of 40 left. The top five chip counts from Day 1c are as follows:

1 Darren Judges 173,800
2 Ralf Westphal 115,000
3 Brendon Rubie 114,375
4 Dinh Le 74,000
5 Michael Pedley 72,000
