Day 1c finalises APPT Sydney field at 289 entrants

Day 1c finalises APPT Sydney field at 289 entrants

Thursday, 9 December 2010

The biggest of the three opening flights in Sydney for the Asian Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final (second only to the WPTDBFDPC in tournament names that are excessive) finalised the field at 289 after 146 players registered for the final opening day.

These 146 included both Joe and Tony Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Lee Nelson, Tony G, Tyron Krost, Roland de Wolfe and Jeff Lisandro . Of these, only local heroes Nelson and Joe Hachem managed to survive the day and join fellow PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu for Day 2.

Aleks Brkovic, he of the impronouncable last name, leads the Day 1c field with 129,100 chips. Impressive, but not enough to take the overnight chip lead from Daniel Neilson and his 164,100 rack. The action begins for Day 2 at 12.30pm local time so join us tomorrow for the Day 2 action at the PokerStars APPT Grand Final.
