The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour has concluded its latest leg in Blackpool with a 246-strong field for the Main Event rounding off nicely a two-week festival of poker at the G Casino. The prize pool for the final tournament came close to a quarter of a million pounds.

In the end it was David Johnson who won the £67,750 top prize for outlasting the 245 other hopefuls after a heads-up battle with Richard Herbert – name familiar? He’s currently mentoring BluffEurope blogger Matt Perry with BadBeat and MyPokerLab for the Journalist Challenge so hearty congratulations to ‘strummer9’ for his runner-up spot and £45,000 score.
