Date set for British Poker Awards

Thursday, 17 October 2013

Bluff Europe is pleased to announce that the 2013 British Poker Awards will be held on 12th November, with the venue to be announced early next week.

Voting for this year's awards is now live at www.thebritishpokerawards.com and will be open until the night before the ceremony. The poker loving public get to choose the top players in a number of categories from Performance of the Year to Personality of the Year.

“We wanted to find a date that didn’t clash with any major tournament so that all the players will come - after all, it’s their night and it’s nothing without them, said Bluff Europe Editor-in-Chief Michael Caselli.

“We’re also very close to finalising the venue, which we will announce very soon, so watch this space.”

Sam Trickett was the big winner in 2012, scooping the Best Cash Game Player, Best Tournament Player and Player of the Year honours at the ceremony aboard the HMS President on London's Victoria Embankment.

The nominees for The British Poker Awards have been chosen by an independent panel that includes voice of poker Jesse May, Matthew Pitt from PokerNews and Mental Game of Poker co-author Barry Carter as well as bloggers Jen Mason and Lee Davy and of course our own Philip Conneller.

Next month's ceremony will be sponsored by the world’s largest online poker room, PokerStars.
