Darvin Moon to host Foxwoods Mega Stack XVIII

Darvin Moon to host Foxwoods Mega Stack XVIII

Friday, 3 December 2010

You don’t quit poker, the old saying goes: poker quits you. It seems to be the case for Darvin Moon, who declared famously that he would return to his logging job and community in Maryland even after his multi-million dollar win at the World Series of Poker 2009 where he finished runner up to Joe Cada.

However, Moon has been brought back on a couple of occasions including the NBC National Heads-Up Championship and now this role as host of the Foxwoods MegaStack Challenge XVIII. This tournament carries a $375,000 prize pool guarantee on a $1,100 Main Event that kicks off on December 11.

Leading up to this tournament are several smaller side events ranging from a $120 NLHE tournament to a $200 bounty event and a deep-stacked $560 side event with a huge $75,000 guarantee. The largest side event is a $230 re-entry tournament with two day 1s and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Can Moon self-admittedly luck his way to another tournament final table?

We’ll have to wait and see.
