Daniel Alaei Wins Second Bracelet in WSOP Event #18.

David Benyamine couldn’t defend his world championship in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event, falling short of the money. In the end Daniel Alaei beat a final table including Daniel Negreanu who once again came tantalisingly close to his fifth bracelet, finishing 4th.

Annie Duke also put in an impressive performance in an attempt to pick up her second Omaha Hi/Lo bracelet but in the end she couldn’t compete. Alaei beat Scott Clements heads-up to take home a $445k prize and his second bracelet, this in a world championship event.

A note must be made about Ville Wahlbeck, who won “only” $31k for his 13th place victory but final tabled the $10k Stud and won the $10k Mixed Game event in this year’s series. One to watch for in Bobby’s Room, no doubt.
