D-Day Poker Link tournament set to be Europe’s largest ever?

Tuesday, 8 March 2011

D-DayPoker.com are organising a huge “link” tournament for April 1st which they hope to be the largest held in Europe. The site will hope to get a hundred or more venues including pubs, poker clubs and even home games and an estimation of 2,000 players is being bandied about.

The venues will simultaneously run a tournament with 8,000 chips and a 20-minute clock for a buy-in of €60 which will stop when all fields are reduced to 25% of their starting line up. Then the remaining players reconvene in Killarney, Ireland, on May 27th for Day 2.

The second day has a 40 minute clock and begins at 200/400 with an estimated average stack of 32,000. The players lucky enough to make Day 2 do so free as the €60 entry is in fact a €50 + 10. The tournament clock will be running on D-DayPoker.com.
