Community Invited To Test PokerStars 7

Thursday, 10 April 2014

After first being announced approximately two years ago, PokerStars has finally premiered the most significant recent update to its online poker software, PokerStars 7, for real-money play.

The innovation has been in alpha testing mode for some time with its redesign of the lobby at PokerStars is thought to be one of the most detailed and radical in the operator’s history.

PokerStars allowed a select group of real-money testers into its new virtual world one year ago before taking the test product to a wider player base last week. A 2+2 post from ‘PokerStars Douglas’ stated that the alpha software is ‘now available to any Windows user who has a PokerStars.com account’.

Although this doesn't mean that the product has been made available for general release, it does see more of the community able to experience the ‘next generation’ of online poker. Not only this, but PokerStars will be able to gather much more feedback and refine the product before finally announcing a release day.

PokerStars 7 will certainly look and feel very different from the current model and according to reports it will feature apps, quick seat options, new filters and a redesigned list of games.
