Climo Up the Ranks – Lance Climo Holds APPT Lead

Thursday, 15 October 2009

Day 1b of the PokerStars Asian Pacific Poker Tour Auckland leg saw 128 players take their seats in a bid to make it through to Day 2 – just 64 did, making the total for Day 2 around 125 players competing for a chunk of the $789,000AUD prize pool.

Chip leader Lance Climo towers above the field – perhaps literally, too; the guy looks huge – with 134,400. Second-place finisher Gerome Guitteau has only mustered up 99,300.

Also in the running is Tony “Brother of Joe” Hachem, sitting pretty in the top ten spots with over 50,000. Play will resume tomorrow, or is that tonight? We can never tell with these bloody Australasian time zones; Day 1b only finished two hours ago and we’ve just gotten up.
