Clayton Mozdzen leads EPT Warsaw

Friday, 23 October 2009

55 of the 148 players who took their seats at EPT Warsaw yesterday will be back for Day 3 with Canadian qualifier Clayton Mozdzen leading the way on 332,300 chips. Day 1 leader Carter Phillips suffered some early swings but a late rally pushed him back up to the leading pack.

A host of top names are challenging near the head of the field including Shaun Deeb, Sorel Mizzi, Mel Judah and Vitaliy Lunkin. Defending World Champion Peter Eastgate is in the middle of the pack alongside Luca Pagano and Day 1B chip leader Antony Lellouche.

There was to be no great escape from ElkY who couldn’t develop his short stack yesterday. Joining him on the rail were Scotty Nguyen, Alexander Kravchenko and British hopes Roberto Romanello, Dave Hardy, Richard Gryko and Michelle Orpe.

Play resumes at 11.30am UK time.
