Classic WPT Action at the Bellagio

Wednesday, 5 December 2012

It’s WPT fever at the moment as there are not one but two events running simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic.

With WPT Prague now on to its third starting day, yesterday saw the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic kick off. A total of 374 players made their way to the Bellagio, Las Vegas, for the prestigious event, including: Marvin Rettenmaier, Daniel Negreanu, Sam Trickett and last year’s Champion, James Dempsey.

When the chips had finished riffling the outright chip leader was Jeremy Kottler with 134,975. His stack was enough to place him ahead of previous WPT winner Randall Flowers (119,400) and WSOP 2012 final-tablist Russell Thomas (108,000).

Yesterday’s session ended on level 5 which means anyone who has enough spare cash or desire can rebuy into the event up to level 8 during today’s session.
