The World Poker Tour has crowned its latest National Series champion after Christopher Frank waltzed away with the title in Vienna.

The €1,100 buy-in event in the Austrian capital attracted a field of 375 runners but none could match Frank who pocketed the biggest score of his career.

The German grinder started the final day with more than double the stack of his closest rival and was rarely troubled en route to victory. After seeing off the challenges of Severin Kock, Hans Joachim Hein and Tonio Roder, Frank defeated compatriot Gereon Sowa to seal the title.

The final hand was a true cooler with Frank turning a full house that also gave his opponent a flush. Frank's €75,000 first prize score is the latest in a line of decent results on the European circuit. Most recently, he pocketed €34,250 after a fifth place finish in the massive Estrellas Poker Tour event in Barcelona in August.

1. Christopher Frank €77,000
2. Gereon Sower €53,300
3. Tonio Roder €34,300
4. Hans Joachim Hein €25,400
5. Severin Kock €18,990
6. Fabian Gritsch €15,180
7. Konstantinou Alexiou €12,730
8. Dietrich Fast €10,180
9. Zoltan Golczo €7,650
