The prospects for graduates entering the job market this summer are said to be the worst in living memory. Scraping the cash together to pay off tuition fees shouldn’t be a problem for recent university graduate Chris Phillips though. The youngster outlasted a field of 322 players to scoop the £28,324 at the Dusk Till Dawn Deepstack over the weekend.

Phillips dominated a final table that included Mickey Wernick, Andrew Purser and Tom Underwood before beating Darren Hobson heads up. The man from Bath sealed the win holding A7 to Hobson’s K7. The board helped neither player giving Phillips the win and a hefty pay day.
