Chris Moorman wins Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl

Chris Moorman wins Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl

Wednesday, 17 March 2010

Despite being known worldwide as the best online tournament poker player, Chris “moorman1” Moorman has never won a Sunday major at PokerStars or Full Tilt despite several Sunday Million and $750k Guaranteed final tables.

Well, the Brunson 10 member has now added that notch to his prolific poker bedpost by stacking another $109,000 atop a pile of $1.6m in winnings after taking down a field of 2,700 in the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl.

The Brawl is a weekly guarantee at Full Tilt with a $256 buy-in. Of that buy-in, $16 is rake and $40 is a knockout bounty. Moorman probably isn’t too fussed about the bounties but he must have notched up a few on the way to his victory, adding a vital extra couple of hundred bucks to his $109,620 first place prize.

The British pro, known online as “moorman1”, is widely regarded as online poker’s best tournament player. Generally, it’s not even close – in the same way that Phil Ivey’s name crops up when you ask who the best poker player in the world is, moorman1 is the automatic answer to the best tournament question. Or MTTs, as these younglings like to call ‘em.
