Chris Moorman Lies Second at LA Poker Classic Final Table

Chris Moorman Lies Second at LA Poker Classic Final Table

Thursday, 6 March 2014

Unfortunately, Chris Moorman couldn't join us to collect his British Poker Award earlier this week. He had a pretty good excuse for missing out though.

The winner of the Best Online Tournament Player award is putting in a seriously deep run at LA Poker Classic.

Moorman lies in second place heading into today's final table and will return with a stack of 3,190,000 (106BBs). The man to catch is Michael Rocco who consolidated his place at the head of the chip counts with the final elimination of yesterday. Dan O'Brien was the man on the receiving end, with pocket aces proving his downfall. He pushed what remained of his stack in the middle on a 10s9d8dKc board. Rocco snap called with KdQd and had a huge number of outs. A 6d on the river was one of them and sent O'Brien to the rail in seventh with $137,900 to his name.

Joining Rocco and Moorman at the final table will be Patrick Bruel, Josh Neufeld, Glenn Lafaye and Adam Friedman.

The final six are each guaranteed at least $200,440 with the eventual winner set to walk away $1,015,460 to the good.

The final table seat draw is as follows:

Seat 1.  Chris Moorman  -  3,190,000  (106 bb)
Seat 2.  Patrick Bruel  -  2,280,000  (76 bb)
Seat 3.  Josh Neufeld  -  1,930,000  (64 bb)
Seat 4.  Glenn Lafaye  -  1,855,000  (61 bb)
Seat 5.  Adam Friedman  -  1,150,000  (38 bb)
Seat 6.  Michael Rocco  -  5,615,000  (187 bb)
