Chris Gordon wins London Calling Main Event

The showpiece tournament of the London Calling Festival at the Fox Poker Club took place over the weekend with Chris Gordon taking the honours in the £500 Main Event.

The 25-year-old stockbroker outlasted a field of 120 runners to take home a first prize of £17,000, beating a final table that included Alan Mansbridge, Willie Tann and Bruno Fernandes.


Other winners during the week-long festival included Canadian Jeffrey Haas who took the £100 H.O.R.S.E event, Richard Hall who took the £150 NLHE for £5,275, Scot Kenyon in the £100 Heads Up, Tamer Kamel in the £150 PLO and Tom Drew who took down the £200 six-max.


The Main Event positions and payouts were as follows:

2nd Bruno Fernandes £14,000
3rd Simon Hemsworth £7,200
4th David Gentry £6,000
5th Terrence Mitford £4,700
6th Chuck Clark £3,000
7th Willie Tann £2,400
8th Alan Mansbridge £1,800
9th Simon Brooks £1,200
