Charity event added to PokerStars Caribbean Adventure schedule

Tuesday, 8 December 2009

Poker players heading to The Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will have the opportunity to help a very worth cause as well as earn some cash. The online giant has teamed up with amFAR, a charity dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy, to host a fundraising charity tournament.

A top class field is expected to play in the $5,250 buy in event, half of which will be donated to amFAR. Those pencilled in to play include former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker, French rugby player Sebastian Chabal and NHL legend Mats Sundin as well as a host of Team PokerStars Pros including newly crowned World Champion Joe Cada.

A total of 50 events are scheduled for next month’s PCA. If you fancy escaping the miserable British winter and want to play in The Bahamas then PokerStars is offering a selection of satellites starting from just $1.10. For full details see PokerStars PCA
