Leading online poker site CelebPoker.com has announced that it is targeting Sweden’s playing community with the launch of a localised Swedish language site. Gibraltar-licensed CelebPoker.com stated that, although Swedish players have been active on the site since it acquired a European Union gaming license in June, they have not had the opportunity to experience a completely bespoke Swedish version of the site. CelebPoker.com stated that the move was prompted by an influx of players from Scandinavia’s largest nation and that it has possible localisation projects planned in the future for Russia, Spain and Italy. The company said that the additional edition has a different look and feel with an impressive visual interface and promotions. It has recruited a Swedish-speaking team to run the new site, dedicated to recruiting new players, working with Swedish affiliates, organising promotions and identifying new talent through Team CelebPoker.com. 'We value all of our online poker community and are committed to providing the best possible online poker experience anywhere in the world,' said Dave Donovan, Chief Executive Officer for CelebPoker.com. 'Sweden has had a long history of producing some fine poker players and we wanted to make sure that our Swedish customers receive the best possible service and entertainment.' Donovan stated that Swedish players would find the same range of games on the new site such as Texas hold 'em, Omaha, Omaha high-low, seven-card stud and five-card draw.
