When your rail at the final table includes ElkY and Eric Liu, you have to be feeling pretty confident about your chances. Lisa Hamilton, a Hawaiian cash game player, had just that and stormed the final table of the $1,000 Ladies’ Event to win her first WSOP bracelet.

After a limped pot, Hamilton and runner-up Lori Bender got the cash in on a Jc3s8c4s board. Hamilton held Qs8s for middle pair and a flush draw while Bender was bent out of shape holding 89o. A miracle river failed to materialise as the Ah secured the bracelet for the 37-year-old Hawaii resident.

Bender received $125k for her efforts but Hamilton got $195,390 and the honour of a WSOP bracelet. The final table in this event was amazingly fast, with only around four hours of play clocked before the final pot was shipped.
