CEREUS add more money to 2011 Tournament Leaderboard

Thursday, 6 January 2011

Absolute Poker and UB.com, together known as the CEREUS poker network, have added some CEREUS cash (sorry) to their Tournament Leaderboard for 2011. The system, awarding prizes to the best tournament players on the network, has been given a new structure for 2011 that means only one thing – more money for you, the player.

The yearly leaders of the TLB will earn $116,000 between them with the top twenty players each month dividing prizes of $15,000. The overall winner of the annual leaderboard will receive $10,000 in cash as well as a $10,000 seat in the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event. The runner up receives half the cash but still gets to play in the world’s largest poker tournament next summer.

Last year, St. Louis player C_SWEENZ won the 2010 TLB and received $10,000 plus a freeroll seat in the world’s largest poker tournament this summer. He said of the win: “Winning the 2010 leaderboard was a huge rush and great accomplishment! I’ve played a lot of hands and learned a lot.  I’m looking forward to improving my all-around game by continuing to play all of the great tournaments on UB and making another run for 2011. Good luck at the tables everyone!”
