Busy GUKPT 25/25 Series

It was another busy weekend on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) with champions crowned in Luton and Dundee as part of the ongoing 25/25 Series.
The English leg was won by Brett Peachey after he topped a field of 156 runners to turn his £220 ($338) buy-in into an impressive score of £9,515 ($14,628) while Gary Laing took the honours north of the border following a deal to bank £7,100 ($10,915).
However, the biggest winner of the day in Dundee was not Laing but runner-up Steven Nicol, who took home £8,390 ($12,898) in cash after eliminating Gordon Anderson in third before agreeing to a chop and playing on for the trophy. However, it only took Laing ten minutes of two-handed play to claim the title with his KT plenty good enough to beat his opposition’s J5.

As with all of Grosvenor's 25/25 Series events, players start with 25,000 chips and compete for guaranteed prize pools of at least £25,000 ($38,430). What's more, each tournament has three starting flights that begin at a work-friendly 7pm while the finals are to be done and dusted in time for players to get a few hours of sleep before work on Monday morning.
To take part in the 25/25 Series action, players can buy-in direct at any of the venues or satellite online via weekly contests at GrosvenorCasinos.com for as little as £3 ($4.61).
