Bubble bursts at WPT Baden – Bozinovic leads

Saturday, 23 February 2013

The money bubble has burst in Austria with just 20 of the 254 starters still in the hunt for a six-figure score at WPT Baden. The man leading the way heading into day 4 is Vladimir Bozinovic on 975,000.

Paul Berende, the winner of the recent PokerStars Hold'em Challenge in Belgium, lies second on 895,000 with Germany's Fedor Holz in third on 642,000.

2011 WSOP Main Event runner up Martin Staszko has been in decent form of late, taking down the High Roller title in November's Czech Poker Festival, and he's carried that run good through to Baden. The 36-year-old returns in sixth on 421,000.

Other notables still in contention are Marvin Rettenmaier 291,000 and Bodo Sbrzesny 242,000.

The final 20 is a British free zone after Mitchell Johnson hit the rail just into the money, losing a flip with AKs against Michael Csango's JJ.

The action resumes at 1pm UK time today with the blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante. Play will continue until we reach a final table of six.
