The money bubble has burst at the Full Tilt Poker UKIPT Galway Main Event with just 51 of the 860 starters still in the hunt for a €200,000 plus pay day.
Leading the way heading into the penultimate day is German Tim Michels whose closed day 2 with a stack of 835,000, followed by Andrew Dwyer 813,000 and Dino Sabatini 755,000. Max Silver is no stranger to success in Galway having won the UKIPT High Roller event in the city last year and he's well placed for more success this time around, returning with 435,000. Other notable names returning to the felt today are the ever popular Padraig Parkinson (397,000) and Yucel 'Mad Turk' Eminoglu (260,000), fresh from his recent appearance on the Sky Poker Cash Game. Jake Cody was arguably the biggest name left heading into day 2 but it wasn't to be for the Triple Crown winner who took consolation in the Players' Party. Joining him on the rail were the likes of Roy Brindley, Jamie Burland and recent Irish Poker Championship winner Trevor Dinneen. All 51 survivors are guaranteed at least €3,400 but will of course be hoping for much more. The field will play down to a final table of eight when the action resumes this lunchtime. 1 Tim Michels 835,000 2 Andrew Dwyer 813,0003 Dino Sabatini 755,000 4 Tony Martin 583,000 5 Jonathan Slater 578,0006 Daniel Wilson 533,0007 Barry Donovan 520,000 8 Jack Salter 520,0009 Raul Paez 514,00010 Alexander Tikhoniouk 496,000
