Bubble bursts at EPT Deauville – Raphael Kroll leads

Saturday, 29 January 2011

The money bubble has been burst at EPT Deauville with the 90 remaining players guaranteed a pay day of at least €9,000. Frenchman Raphael Kroll heads the chip counts with 829,000, followed by Fabian Holling with 817,000.

Kroll has enjoyed considerable tournament success in France recently, finishing runner up to Vanessa Selbst in the final of the Partouche Poker Tour in November. He'll have to dodge some serious competition if he wants to go one better in Deauville though with the likes of Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Praz Bansi and Thomas Bichon still very much in the hunt.

Bernard Henri Guigon was the unfortunate bubble boy. After over an hour of hand for hand play, the Frenchman was forced to chuck his final 500 chips into the middle and couldn't prolong his stay any longer, losing to a tiny pair of deuces.

The action resumes at noon today. Join us over the weekend for updates.
