Brunson and Juanda to sit out WSOPE Main Event

Wednesday, 12 October 2011

The 2011 WSOPE Main Event will be light a couple of big names after Doyle Brunson and John Juanda both confirmed that they would not be taking part.

The 78-year-old Brunson, who cashed at the recent EPT event in London, won't be trying to add to WSOP bracelet number ten as according to a Tweet yesterday evening he is “sick as a dog and has "a kidney infection.” We wish him a speedy recovery.

2008 WSOPE Main Event winner John Juanda is another player who won't be in Cannes. The five-time bracelet winner put out this cryptic Tweet “Looks like I'm gonna have to miss WSOPE cos I found myself a great new job. GL2 all playing! http://yfrog.com/j215174063j
