Brunson and Becker set for EPT London

Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Doyle Brunson may be advancing in years but he's got modern technology down pat, keeping poker fans updated with his news via Twitter. The great man's latest missive confirmed that he would be heading to Blighty for EPT London which runs from 30 September to 6 October at the Hilton Metropole Hotel.

"EPT is in London. I've got other business there but will play in the ME. Then maybe to France, still undecided about WSOPE.", Brunson tweeted.

Joining Brunson will be former Wimbledon champion and part time poker player Boris Becker. The six-time grand slam winner had his first EPT Main Event cash in Barcelona, pocketing €8,000 for a 93rd place finish. The German has reached the final table of a side event and also gone deep in the Five Stars World Poker Classic.

Brunson and Becker will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of young Scot David Vamplew who outlasted a massive 848 runner field to pocket the £900,000 first prize.

There's still just time to qualify for this year's event at PokerStars. Try your luck with a 100% bonus up to $500. Sign up here.
