To launch his new-look poker room at DoylesRoom.com across the UK and Europe, legendary poker professional Doyle Brunson has announced that he will be attending the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Europe in London when it kicks off on September 6.
Brunson, nicknamed ‘Texas Dolly’, is the biggest name in the poker world with a seemingly endless list of achievements. He was the first player to earn one million dollars in tournaments and has picked up ten WSOP bracelets throughout his career. He wrote his name large in the annals of poker history by winning consecutive WSOP Main Event bracelets in 1976 and 1977, one of only four men to do such.
Brunson was awarded with the accolade of Most Influential Force In The World Of Poker by Bluff Magazine last year and has taught millions how to play the game with his book Super System, published in 1978. An updated version, Super System 2, was released in 2004 while his latest book, My 50 Most Memorable Hands, reveals 50 of the greatest poker hands he’s ever played.
DoylesRoom.com offers tournaments in addition to cash and sit ‘n’ go games as well as advice from Mike Caro, founder of the first permanent poker school. The site also boasts the highest and lowest limit tables on the web and attracts celebrity players including his son, Todd Brunson.
“It’s the perfect time to launch the new-look DoylesRoom.com,” said Brunson.
“I have watched poker evolve for over 50 years and continue to play in some of the biggest games in the world. Right now, London is buzzing about the upcoming WSOP hitting Europe.
“If you want to go heads-up against me, register with DoylesRoom.com and look out for my screen name ‘Tex_Dolly’.”
DoylesRoom.com is currently offering a number of exclusive weekly Summer freeroll tournaments culminating in the $25,000 Finale Freeroll where the winner will get not only their share of the prize pool but the opportunity of playing heads-up against Brunson for an additional $25,000 prize.
