2011 has been an excellent year for British poker with players from Blighty bagging tournament wins all over the globe.
The public will get the chance to honour the great and the good of the UK poker scene in the second annual British Poker AwardsRepresentatives from Bluff Europe and Poker News and the voice of poker Jesse May have chosen the nominees and now it's down to the public to decide who will pick up the gongs. Categories up for grabs include Best Cash Game Player, Best Tournament Player, Best Online Player, Best Mixed Game Player and Best PLO player, as well as Best Blogger, Best Social Media User and Best Poker League.Anyone wishing to vote can do so from Monday 1 August at British Poker Awards Facebook page or going to www.thebritishpokerawards.com."This isn't about self-congratulatory back-slapping," cautioned Philip Conneller, Editor of Bluff Europe. "It's about honouring the players who have done us so proud on the world stage this year.
